El intendente de la ciudad portuaria de Itajaí propuso oficialmente adoptar la aplicación de ozono en el ano como medida de tratamiento a los pacientes enfermos del nuevo coronavirus.
El intendente de Itajaí (SC), Volnei Morastoni (MDB), sugirió un nuevo tratamiento contra Covid-19: la administración rectal de ozono.
Según la información divulgada por CNN Brasil, el método se mencionó en un concierto en vivo el lunes por la noche, en el que el alcalde presentó datos actualizados en la ciudad y comentó sobre posibles tratamientos contra el virus.
Según un balance publicado por el ayuntamiento el lunes, Itajaí tiene 3.648 casos confirmados y 105 muertes por el nuevo coronavirus. Itajaí también registra 2.969 recuperados, además de 153 casos sospechosos. La ciudad tiene unos 220,000 habitantes, según los últimos datos estadísticos del 2019.
El procedimiento de ozono, que se usará solo para casos positivos, según el alcalde, no tiene una eficacia probada en el tratamiento del nuevo coronavirus.
Morastoni, médico, graduado de la Universidad Federal de Paraná, dijo que inscribió a la ciudad en la Comisión Nacional de Ética en Investigación (Conep), con la documentación necesaria para integrar un protocolo de investigación nacional con ozono.
Según el alcalde, Itajaí tendrá una clínica ambulatoria exclusiva para el tratamiento.
“Estamos proporcionando todos los equipos y dispositivos, el kit necesario, para aplicar ozono. Solo para casos positivos. Es una aplicación rápida de 2 o 3 minutos al día. Probablemente será una aplicación rectal, muy suave y muy rápida, con un catéter delgado, esto da un excelente resultado. La persona tiene que hacer diez sesiones seguidas, diez sesiones de ozono. Esto ayuda mucho en casos positivos”, dijo el alcalde.
La ivermectina, la azitromicina y el alcanfor se encuentran entre los remedios enumerados por el alcalde en la vida de este lunes como disponibles para su distribución en partes de la ciudad, solo para personas que han presentado una receta médica.
«Todo lo que pueda ayudar, lo pondremos a disposición de nuestra población para enfrentar la pandemia», concluyó Morastoni.
